Nikki’s Origin Story
For those of you whom I’ve had the pleasure of meeting already, you probably know my basic story. For those of you that I have not yet met, here goes…
I first got into this lifestyle when I met my lovely girlfriend, Jessica Jonesing. We would go to Scarlet Ranch and/or Mon Chalet almost weekly to have fun, so it made sense for me to start doing duets with her. It wasn’t often, usually just an occasional weekend when we had someone interested. I didn’t have my own website, Twitter or anything for the first year because I wasn’t really sure if it was what I wanted to do. Over time, it became apparent that I would like to go out on my own so I took the leap.
In April of this year, I designed my own site. Through about a week of swearing and experimentation on WordPress, it was finally done and ready to be launched. At first, I chose the domain name of www.iheartjessica.world because I thought it was different and would grab more attention than other names.
However, that turned out to be a bad idea. I wasn’t able to register for different sites because many thought I was a robot and it wasn’t recognized as a URL when I would send people the link, thus not clickable. Even through proper SEO (search engine optimization), my site wasn’t appearing on Google, thus leading me to zero visit requests. It obviously wasn’t working so it was decided to change my website to the current name of www.nikkijonesing.com at the beginning of May.
The most time consuming part of switching everything was reloading my pictures. I had originally watermarked everything individually so I would be able to post to various sites and it would all lead back to me. This time, I designed the watermark and let WordPress do the work for me. My girlfriend set my site to redirect so anything I missed would still come to me. I redesigned my logo, changed my title and many other small changes then www.nikkijonesing.com was live!
Since finishing my own site, I have also been working on two other sites. It’s given me a lot of practice and I can now figure most things out on my own. If I were to create my original site now, it’d only take a few hours. It’s a good skill to have and not anything that I thought I would be interested in, but it’s fun to figure it out on my own and have control over exactly what I want a site to look like.
So here I am, about three and half months into my official journey as a provider. I’ve learned a lot, met some great people but still have a long way to go. I’ve already made many changes to my services and ads and am constantly learning about the little things I can do to make a visit better.
Stay safe and enjoy life!
